Add Watermark to PDF
Stamp a text watermark β "CONFIDENTIAL", "DRAFT COPY", your company name β across every page, so no one mistakes a draft for the final version or shares a preview as the real thing. Everything runs in your browser β your document is never uploaded.
π Your file is processed in your browser and never uploaded to any server.

Why a draft or shared preview needs a watermark
Send a contract draft or a preview report without any mark and it can end up quoted as final, printed and signed by mistake, or forwarded as if it were the finished document. A visible watermark β diagonal, semi-transparent, repeated per page β makes the status of the document impossible to miss.
How it works, and why nothing is uploaded
The tool draws your text on top of every existing page at the opacity and angle you set; the original content underneath is untouched β no re-rendering, no quality loss. Because the file is processed entirely in your browser, it never touches a server, which matters when the document is still under negotiation.
Common watermark text
"CONFIDENTIAL" and "DRAFT" for internal review, "COPY β NOT VALID FOR PRINTING" for tax documents, or simply your company or website name to discourage unauthorized redistribution of a free sample or preview.
Frequently asked questions
Is my document uploaded?
No. The watermark is added in your browser with JavaScript β your PDF never leaves your device.
Can I control how visible the watermark is?
Yes, the opacity slider goes from barely-there to solid; diagonal + low opacity is the most common combination for "DRAFT" stamps.
Does the watermark cover the original text?
It is drawn on top, semi-transparent by default, so the original content stays fully readable underneath.
Can I remove a watermark added by someone else?
This tool only adds watermarks. Removing one added by another source usually requires editing the original file directly.
